SMILE Pro is the latest generation of femtosecond correction for myopia and astigmatism. The laser shapes a thin disc inside the cornea, which the surgeon removes through a small incision — with no flap raised in the corneal surface as there is in LASIK. Because the surface is never cut open, the cornea keeps its mechanical strength and the surface nerves are disturbed less, which makes dry eye less likely afterwards.

Recovery
